“So we created a product called Jangheung Cheongjeong Laver.” It is a clean, pure laver product made through removal of impurities by hand as it does not use any acid (organic acid, inorganic acid), dried and treated with only sea breeze and sunshine. For the first time in the nation, we proclaimed "No Acid in the Production of Laver" and succeeded in making it with the efforts of Jangheung aqua culturist's sweat and enthusiasm.


Aquaculturist’s Oath for Making Non-Acid Laver

We, all of our aquaculturist, swear that we are not going to use any kind of acid to positon us at a leading role in revitalizing the laver industry. Recognizing that acid has been used for the past 40 years for producing seaweed, we will not use acid anymore and only consider our sea’s environment, eco-friendly laver products, and re-birth of the laver product as a national food with the following actions.

1. All of our aquaculturists are aware of the fact that only eco-friendly laver can be competitive, and we will participate actively in the movement of non-acid laver aquaculture.

2. All of our aquaculturists are aware that the removal of illegal facilities in an illegal aquaculture area is the key to the success of non-acid laver aquaculture.

3. All of our aquaculturists regard the use of acid after this proclamation as self-destructive actions and in no case we will use acid.

4. All of our aquaculturists will lead the production of environmentally friendly laver products, while acting as observers of the illegal facilities and use of acid.

MANUFACTURING PROCESS

1 Detection of foreign matters and the supply of raw material seaweed In order to keep the uniform quality, we use a machine for sorting foreign material.
2 1st Baking Process Baked laver and seasoned laver go through two times of baking process. This is for a more flavorful taste.
3 Seasoning process This is the process of manufacturing seasoned laver. We use domestic fresh sea salt.
4 2nd Baking Process Through the 2nd baking process, we check the taste and quality of Jangheung Non-acid Cheongjeong Laver.
5 Arrangement Process We wear hygiene hats, sanitary gloves, hygiene clothes, and hygiene masks for thorough sanitation.
6 Packaging process Finished products are produced through a thorough hygiene process.
7 Metal Detection Process The finished product is subject to a final inspection through a metal detector to ensure safety.
8 Outer Box Packing Process We ship to you only finished products that has gone through all processes
